The opening ceremony was held for the Tsubaki India Liaison Office (TILO) of Tsubakimoto Singapore as they take initiative in the burgeoning Indian market. On February 29, an opening ceremony was held for the Tsubaki India Liaison Office (TILO) of Tsubakimoto Singapore Pte. Ltd. (TSL). In charge of the Indian market since 2005, TSL has steadily won customers by visiting India from Singapore. Clearly, with a population of about 1.1 billion, India is a large and growing market. In light of this potential we decided to open a liaison office in Chennai, India with the goal of ensuring efficient operation and providing more extensive service. Chennai is an industrial area home to many Japanese companies that are planning to invest heavily in steel making and motor vehicle production. While the TILO office was opened with an initial compliment of two staff members, future plans call for the two employees in charge of sales in Singapore to take over this district. We intend to expand our sales focusing on the automobile and peripheral industries as well as the cement, steel, and mining industries.
